I see the main purpose of our Feb. 16 meeting in our new venue to be "re-settlement and re-direction." There will not be a speaker. Since the Women's March, in which I participated not as a representative of PFLAG (given Beth Kohm's recent e-mail) but as a woman standing in resistance to the new administration's frightening anti-American statements as well as the proposed appointments of advisors and cabinet members who will have the power to set back the LGBTQ community forty years. After the march, I personally signed up for communications from several different groups and now question which groups our chapter should align itself with in terms of advocacy for our community. Where do we draw the line between advocacy and partisan politics?

We are hoping to attract more members at our new location. We welcome members of other organizations that are also seeking intersectionality. One minor point-the meeting will go from 7 to 9 pm.
